President Alexander Stubb on Thursday had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas and discussed various bilateral and international issues, said the President Office in a press release.

They discussed relations between Finland and Estonia, support for Ukraine and current NATO issues.

After the phone call Kallas said that the leaders of neighbouring countries discussed about their continuous support to Ukraine, cooperation in NATO, and EU defence readiness.

“Good call with the new Finnish President alexstubb (Alexander Stubb). Estonia and Finland are the best of friends and now NATO allies. We discussed our continued support to Ukraine, cooperation in NATO, and EU defence readiness. Looking forward to welcoming you (Stubb) in Tallinn soon,” Kallas wrote in a post in social media platform X after the discussion.

Earlier on Tuesday, Stubb had a telephone conversation with his Estonian counterpart Alar Karis.
