Stubb, Scholz discuss bilateral ties, Int´l issues over phone

President Alexander Stubb on Thursday had a telephone conversation with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz and discussed various bilateral and international issues, said the President Office in a press release.

They discussed the importance of continued and strong support to Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, topical NATO issues and bilateral relations between Finland and Germany.

Stubb emphasised that Germany is an important friend and ally. The cooperation between Finland and Germany is strong and further strengthening across multiple sectors, the release added.
