Finnish-Israeli soldier killed in Gaza operation

A Finnish-Israeli soldier was killed during an operation at the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza late last month, different Finnish language newspapers reported on Thursday.

The Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs confirmed the death of the 21-year-old dual citizen, according to a leading Finnish language daily Helsingin Sanomat and evening tabloid Iltalehti.

Earlier on March 24, The Times of Israel quoting the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that Sgt. First Class Lior Raviv was killed in Shifa Hospital operation on March 23.

He was from Rishon Lezion and was a fighter in the 932nd Battalion of the Nahal Brigade.
