Orpo, Sunak discuss, Ukraine, Finland-Russia border over phone

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and his British counterpart Rishi Sunak on Monday had a telephone conversation and discussed various issues including Ukraine situation and Finland-Russia border, said the government in a press release.

The prime ministers discussed ways to continue to provide strong support to Ukraine. They also talked about the Fourth European Political Community Summit, which the UK will host in July.

Orpo briefed Sunak on the situation at Finland’s eastern border, the press release added.

The government on April 4, decided that the border crossing points on the land border between Finland and Russia will remain closed until further notice.
