Condition of one of the two female students, who sustained bullet wounds in the shooting incident at Viertola school in Vantaa on April 2 remained critical, said police in a press release on Thursday.
The rest victim, however, was discharged from the hospital to home care on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the police made progress in the criminal investigation into the incident and most of the interviews were completed.
The police have been working in close cooperation with various authorities, including the District Prosecutor.
“We have conducted dozens of interviews during the investigation, more than ten this week alone. Interviews will continue over this weekend, and the suspect will also be interviewed again,” said Detective Chief Inspector Marko Särkkä.
“Both of the injured girls are still in hospital. One of the girls is still in critical condition, but the other one is being discharged to home care today (Thursday),” said Särkkä.
The Chief Inspector also said that in relation to the criminal investigation into the firearms offence, the police continued by interviewing those involved.
Earlier on April 3, police said that bullying seemed to be the motive for the school shooting.
On April 8, police said that the gun used in Vantaa school murder was stored properly.
