President Alexander Stubb welcomed the $61 billion aid package for Ukraine and regional partners approved by the US House Representatives on Saturday.

The President in a post in his social media platform X late Saturday night also thanked House Speaker Mike Johnson and the House for bipartisan support.

“Good news from the US. The House approved a critical 61 billion dollar aid package for Ukraine. Now waiting for it to pass in the Senate. Thank you, Speaker Johnson and the House for bipartisan support. Ukraine needs all of our support,” Stubb wrote in his post.

The US House Representatives passed the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act.

One of the bills would provide nearly $61 billion to assist Ukraine and others in the region fight Russia – about the same that was included in the Senate bill.
