Woman´s body found in North Savo after more than 4 years of murder

The body of a woman, who was allegedly killed in the autumn of 2029 was found in North Savo region in early this month, police said in a press release on Monday.

A passerby found the body at Vesanno area in the region on April 6 and informed the police in this regard.

Police recovered the body from the spot and later identified the deceased as Saara Arva, who went missing about four and a half years ago.

Police suspected that Arva was the victim of a homicide that time and investigated into the incident as murder.

After the preliminary investigation, the police also arrested one person on suspicion of the murder but released the suspect later.

Following recovery of the body, the Police again interrogated one person, who was along with Arva before her disappearance.

The police, however, did not divulge detail about the recovery of the body and the interrogation for the interest of the investigation.
