The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) will cut a total of 200 employees as a part of its austerity measures to save EUR 12 million due lack of government funding, said THL in a press release on Tuesday.
The THL said that 93 employees will be laid off and more employees will be reduced through co-determination talks and total job cuts will be up to 200.
Meanwhile, the union of the public sector professionals-JUKO in a statement on Tuesday said that said the negotiation talks that started in March were concluded in disagreement between the authority and the employees.
Pointing out various negative aspects of the job cuts in THL, leaders of the JUKO expressed concern over the preparedness during the possible national crisis.
