Early voting begins today

Advance voting for presidential election begins today.

Domestically, the early voting will last for one week until January 23. The advance voting period abroad is from January 17 to 20.

A voter must present an official identification at the polling station such as a passport, national identity card or a driving licence.

Eligible voters can participate in the voting during the advance voting period or during the official Election Day.

The official presidential Election Day is on January 28.

General advance polling stations in the country are libraries, municipal halls and shopping centres, among other designated places. Voters abroad may take part in the voting at Finnish embassies prescribed in the decree.
