Additional resources granted for employment services

Finance Minister Petteri Orpo on Tuesday said additional resources will be allocated to employment services following the active model reform to the unemployment security.

The minister said the additional resources have been already availed at the beginning of the year.

The additional appropriation, according to Orpo, will be allocated from the unused budget of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

Orpo told the news agency STT that he was preparing for additional resource allocation together with Employment Minister Jari Lindström.

The baseline on the issue was already agreed by the party leaders of the coalition government on Friday.
