1 stabbed at Espoonlahti metro station, suspect held

One person was injured when another person stabbed the victim inside the Espoonlahti metro station in Espoo on Thursday evening, police said.

The incident took place at about 5:20 pm at the platform of the station.

Responding to an alarm several patrols of police rushed to the spot and arrested the attacker.

The injured person was taken to hospital.

The incident, however, did not cause danger to bystanders.

Police did not disclose the identities of the attacker and the victim.

They are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the stabbing.
