1 stabbed at Tampere shopping centre, suspect held

One person was injured when another person stabbed the victim in front of a shopping centre at Ratina in Tampere on Thursday afternoon, police said.

The incident took place at about 4:30 pm as a sequel to quarrel between the attacker and the victim.

Responding to an alarm, police rushed to the spot but the attacker left the scene by this time.

The incident, however, did not cause danger to bystanders.

Police conducted extensive search at the locality and arrested the attacker from the adjacent area immediately after the incident.

Police did not disclose the identities of the attacker and the victim.

Members of the law enforcing agency are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the stabbing.
