Robbery occurred at Mikkeli grocery shop

Bandit took away cash from a grocery store at Kaukola in Mikkeli, a municipality under South Savo region on Friday evening, police said in a press release on Saturday.

The alleged robber stormed into the grocery shop chain K-Market at Savilahdenkatu and looted cash money from the storekeeper at knife point.

The bandit left the scene immediately on foot through Jokikatu road to Kalevankanka area after the robbery.

Police said that the robber took several hundred euros from the shop.

They are requesting information from witnesses about the movement of the suspected robber.

The police are investigating into the incident as aggravated robbery.
