2 US bombers fly in Finnish airspace

Two US B-52 Stratofortress bombers flew in the Finnish airspace on Sunday, said Finnish Defence Forces in a press release on Sunday.
The flights were part of training activities. The bombers were supported by two US KC-135 and one US KC-46 aerial refuelling aircraft.
The aircraft came from Norway and flew across Lapland towards south.
Finnish F/A-18 Hornet multirole fighters flew with the ???????? bombers from Lapland to Gulf of Finland where the bombers continued their mission with Germany Eurofighters involved in NATO’s BAP mission, said the Defence Forces in a post in social media platform X.
Air operations are a part of cooperation and joint exercises between the allied countries.
Cooperation with the flight detachment improves interoperability between the allies.
The operation was conducted in accordance with the national legislation and regulations of Finland.
