72 killed in road mishaps in Finland in H1

A total of 72 people were killed and 1461 others injured in 1187 road accidents in Finland during the January-June period of this year, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of deaths was three higher and number of persons injured 94 lower than in the corresponding period of 2023.
Out of the deceased, 38 travelled by passenger car, four by van, two by moped, six by motorcycle and one by lorry.
Pedestrians killed numbered nine and cyclists five. In addition, seven other road users were killed.
