Motorcyclist killed in road mishap in Sipoo, man downs in Eura

A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident at Sipoo, a municipality in Helsinki region late Friday night, police said in a press release on Saturday.

The accident took place at about 8:30 p.m. when the motorcycle skidded off the road at Keuksuontie and collided with a roadside pole.

The motorcyclist died on the spot in the accident.

The Police, however, did not divulge the identity of the deceased.

The Accident Investigation Board and police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Meanwhile, in another incident a man drowned in water at Eura, a municipality in Satakunta region late Friday night, police said on Saturday.

The incident took place at about 10:50p.m. when he went for swimming in Eurajoki river near Kohnantie.

Responding to an alarm, rescue service people and police rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the river.

The Police, however, did not disclose the detail identity of the man.

The Police are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the death.
