1 burnt to death in Vantaa house fire

One person was killed in a fire at a house at Metsola area in Vantaa on Friday evening, police said in a press release late Friday night.

The fire broke out at about 6:00 pm and engulfed house immediately.

Responding to an alarm from bystanders, rescue service people rushed to the spot and tried to bring the fire under control.

The firefighters doused the fire and recovered the body of the deceased from the debris.

Police, however, did not divulge the detail identity of the deceased.

The origin of the fire could not be known immediately but rescue service people and police are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the fire.
