1m cast advance votes in Presidential polls

More than 110,000 votes were cast on Sunday in the ongoing advance voting of the presidential election, the local media reported.

The voter turnout on Sunday reached 24.2 per cent, compared to 20 per cent registered in the previous presidential election’s advance voting six years ago.

A total of 1,028,000 votes have been cast since the advance voting began on Wednesday.

The number of votes cast in the regions of Satakunta and Lapland are already approaching the 30 per cent mark. On Sunday, the voter turnout stood at 29.7 per cent in Satakunta and 28.8 per cent in Lapland.
