President Alexander Stubb on Saturday focused on the present security situation in Europe and the Middle East and underscored the need for all-out supports to Ukraine.

The President discussed the issues in the two-day GLOBSEC 2024 Forum in Prague and during separate biliteral meetings with leaders of different countries on the concluding day, said an official press release.

"Ukraine has already won an important battle because it has strengthened its place in the West. The war is not over yet and Ukraine needs all our support," Stubb said in his speech in the forum.

Besides the main event, Stubb held meetings with Czech President Petr Pavel, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar.

The presidents exchanged views on various international issues, including the security situation in Europe and the Middle East.

“A pleasure meeting with President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar. We discussed, among the other things, the security situations in Ukraine and Middle East,” Stub wrote in a post on his social media platform X on Saturday after the meeting with the Slovenian President.

Hosted by Czech President Petr Pavel, this year’s forum examined the definition of the global order, the transition from war to just peace, the charting of the geo-tech frontier, and Europe’s make-or-break moment in geopolitics.

The GLOBSEC Forum is an annual high-level platform dedicated to promoting international dialogue and cooperation with a focus on current global challenges.

Key figures in politics, business, international organisations as well as other influential stakeholders from more than 70 countries took part in the forum.
