Youth held for firing gunshot targeting cops in Espoo

A young man reportedly fired gunshot targeting two police officials at Läkkitori area in Espoo early Thursday night, police said in a press release.

The 21-year man fired the gunshot targeting the on-duty police officials at the area at about 3:00 a.m.

But none was injured in the incident, said lead investigator Jukka Larkio in the press release.

Police arrested the suspect from Leppävaara area immediately after the incident.

Police, however, did not divulge the detail identity of the suspect.

The police are investigating into the incident as attempted murder and trying to find out the reason behind the attack.
