Finland, Ukraine sign deal on healthcare cooperation

Finland and Ukraine signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector in Helsinki on Friday, said Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in a press release.

Minister of Social Affairs and Health Kaisa Juuso and her Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Liashko signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of Ukraine their respective countries.

The prime ministers of both countries also attended the signing ceremony.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also held a meeting in Helsinki and discussed various issues including importance of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration and the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

At Ukraine’s request, Finland will host a meeting dedicated to the eighth point of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, Environmental Security on Saturday.
