Stubb, Zelenskyy discuss US election´s outcome over phone

President Alexander Stubb had a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday and discussed various bilateral and international issues including the outcome of the Presidential election in the United States, said the Finnish President Office in a press release.

The Presidents also discussed the state visit of Stubb to China, Finland’s ongoing support to Ukraine.

“I had a call with the President of Finland Alexander Stubb, during which we discussed the effective organization of the thematic conference on Point 8 ‘Environmental Security’ in Helsinki, as well as the subsequent international efforts needed to restore a just peace for Ukraine,” Zelenskyy wrote in a post on his social media platform X after the telephone conversation.

Zelenskyy also briefed Stubb on the current battlefield situation.

“We discussed the threats to regional and global security posed by North Korea’s involvement in Russia’s war against Ukraine, along with the continued defense cooperation between our countries. I outlined Ukraine’s current defense needs, particularly in enhancing air defense and suppling additional anti-aircraft equipment,” he added in the post on X.
