The Industrial Union (Teollisuusliitto) on Tuesday started a 48-hour strike across the country demanding a collective agreement for the Technology Industries, said Trade Union Pro.

The previous collective agreement has been expired on November 30.

On the first day of the strike was observed at 13 industries on Tuesday while strike will be observed at 23 industries on Wednesday.

The union decided to go for the strike as no effective result came from the meeting with the mediator on Monday.

The union also planned to enforce more strikes from December 9 to December 12, if the further discussion with the mediator, scheduled for Thursday is foiled without any solution.

Earlier, the union warned the Technology Industries Employers of the strike unless its demands are not fulfilled.
