18 killed in road mishaps in November in Finland

A total of 18 people were killed and 334 others injured in 258 road accidents in Finland in November 2024, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of fatalities was 11 higher and number of persons injured 58 higher than in November 2023.
Out of the deceased, 10 travelled by passenger car, two by van and one by motorcycle in November 2024.
Two pedestrians, one cyclist and two other road users were also killed.
Among those who died, 14 were men and four women.
Meanwhile, 159 persons were killed and 3,143 others injured in 2,572 road accidents in January-November period.
The number of deaths was one higher and number of persons injured 178 lower than in the corresponding period of 2023.
Of the persons who were killed, 78 travelled by passenger car, seven by van, five by moped, 16 by motorcycle and three by lorry.
Pedestrians killed numbered 16 and cyclists 19.
In addition, 15 other road users were killed.
