1 killed in car-truck collision in Tammela

One person was killed in a road accident at Tammela, a municipality in Kanta-Häme region on Friday, police said in a press release on Saturday.
The accident took place at about 1:10 p.m. when a truck collided head- on with a private car at the intersection of Valtatie and Kantatie near Forssa.
The truck fell into a roadside ditch and its trailer turned turtle while the car caught fire as a result both the vehicles were damaged badly.
The driver of the car died on the spot and the driver of the truck was injured slightly in the accident.
The police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and the injured person.
Police and the Accident Investigation Board are investigating into the accident to find out the reason behind the accident.
