Youth crashed under train wheels in Ylivieska

One person was killed in a train accident in Ylivieska, a municipality under North Ostrobothnia region early Sunday, said police in a press release.

The incident took place when a train knocked down the young person and crashed under the wheels near the railway station. The person died on the spot.

The police, however, did not divulge the details about the reason behind the accident and the identity of the deceased.

Police did not suspect any crime link to the incident.

The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
