2 remanded into custody for killing man in Raasepori

The Western Uusimaa District Court on Wednesday remanded two men into custody for their alleged involvement in killing another man in Raasepori, a municipality under Uusimaa region on February 9, police said in a press release.

Police said that the incident took place in a private residence at Karjaa when the miscreants attacked him with sharp weapon at the upper part of his body. He succumbed to his wounds on the spot.

Responding to an alarm, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Police arrested two people after the incident in connection with the murder.

Chief Investigator Mats Sjöholm said that the investigation into the incident was going on and after the preliminary investigation it was found that a sharp knife was used in the incident.

Police also said that the suspects and the victim were known to each other.

The police, however, did not divulge the identities of the suspects and the victim.

Police will continue interrogation and gather evidence and the date for filing charges of the case was set on April 29, said police.
