Road mishaps kill 13 in Finland in January

A total of 13 people were killed and 176 others injured in 137 accidents in Finland in January 2025, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of fatalities was three higher and number of persons injured 13 lower than in January 2024.
Out of the deceased, eight travelled by passenger car, two by van and one by lorry.
One pedestrian and another road user were also killed.
Among those who died, nine were men and four women.
