The Industrial Union (Teollisuusliitto) on Saturday decided to cancel all industrial action announced earlier for the technology industry and chemical industry contract sectors following approval of new collective agreements, said the union in a press release.
The Board of the Industrial Union has approved the negotiation result for a new collective agreement for technology industry workers.
The negotiation result was reached on Thursday with the assistance of the National Mediator.
The decision, however, was not unanimous.
The agreement is for three years, with a total of 7.8 percent salary increase during the agreement period.
The union also agreed that the third year of the agreement could be terminated.
In addition to the collective agreement for technology industry workers, the Board of the Industrial Union approved three collective agreements for contract sectors in the chemical industry.
The Board also approved the negotiation result for a collective agreement for ore mines.
The decisions were unanimous on these issues.
The collective agreements for the chemical industry were concluded in the basic chemical industry, the plastic products industry and the chemical products industry, as well as in the oil, natural gas and petrochemical industries.
The new collective agreements for the chemical industry are three years long and are valid until 31 December 2027.
