Stubb leaves for London to join Ukraine summit

President Alexander Stubb will attend a Leaders’ summit on Ukraine hosted by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London on Sunday, said an official press release.

The meeting will focus on strengthening the support for Ukraine.

Meanwhile talking to the national broadcaster Yle on Saturday, Stubb underscored the need for creating pressure on Russia for an amicable solution of the war.

Terming the unexpected ending of the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after heated talks on Friday as diplomatic failure, he said that only Russian President Vladimir Putin will be gainer.

"It was a diplomatic failure with only one winner, who wasn't even present: Vladimir Putin," reported Yle, quoting Stubb as saying.

Meanwhile, Zelensky on Saturday arrived in London and held meeting British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
