Finland, Denmark to boost cooperation

Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen and his Danish counterpart Troels Lund Poulsen on Monday expressed their interest to increase defence cooperation between the countries.

The ministers made the remarks while visiting the Karelia Brigade and Vaalimaa border crossing hosted by Häkkänen.

“Finland’s Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen met today ( Monday) with his colleague, Denmark's Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen. During the day, Ministers visited Karelia Brigade and Vaalimaa border crossing. Good cooperation between Finland and Denmark continues,” said the Ministry of Defence in a post on its social media platform X.

Häkkänen said that Finland invested more than 10 billion euros in land defence equipment and infrastructure.

Lund Poulsen said that closer cooperation would continue in joint procurements and military exercises.
