YTN continues Friday´s strikes at Engr, Tech industries

The Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff (YTN) started to observe its next phase of strike on Friday as the negotiation talks to reach a new collective agreement with Technology Industries of Finland ended on Thursday without any fruitful result, said YTN in a press release.

The Federation also announced fresh strikes on March 28 and April 4 in addition to the pre-announced series of strikes.

The new two strikes will cover 55 companies and 25000 employees.

Earlier on February 13, the YTN issued warning of a series of strikes in the engineering and technology sectors on February 28, March 7, March 14 and March 21 demanding a collective agreement.

It already observed strikes on February 28 and March 7 to press home its demands.

On March 14, the strike will be observed at ABB Oy, Oilon Oy, Rautaruukki Oyj, Ruukki Construction Oy, Sandvik Mining and Construction Finland Oy, Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy, SSAB Europe Oy, Tibnor Oy and Vaisala Oyj.
