Woman killed in Tampere, suspect held

A woman was killed allegedly by a man at Ikuri area in Tampere on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The incident took place in a private residence at Karjakontie area but police did not disclose detail about the incident.

The police arrested a man in connection with the murder immediately after the incident.

The victim and the suspect knew each other, said police.

Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and the suspect and their relation at the preliminary stage of the investigation.

Police are investigating into the case as murder.
