Birth rate remains lower than death in Finland in February

The number of births was 2,798 lower than that of deaths in February in Finland, according to Statistics Finland.

Country's population, however, increased by 2,386 persons during January-February period.

The reason for the increase was migration gain from abroad, since immigration exceeded emigration by 4,881.

Finland's population was 5,639,600 at the end of February 2025.
