Stubb, Trump meet in Florida, discuss Ukraine, bilateral ties

President Alexander Stubb and his counterpart in United States Donald Trump on Saturday met at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, USA and discussed various issues including Ukraine, said the Finnish President Office in a press release.

Terming the visit unofficial, the President office said that the Presidents met over breakfast, played a round of golf and had lunch together.

“During the visit, the Presidents discussed among other things the relations between Finland and the United States, and current foreign and security policy issues including Ukraine,” said the press release.

"President Stubb and I look forward to strengthening the partnership between the United States and Finland, and that includes the purchase and development of a large number of badly needed Icebreakers for the U.S., delivering Peace and International Security for our Countries, and the World," Trump said in a post on his Truth Social social media platform.
