2 Russians suspected of illegal border-crossing

Two snowmobile riders from Russia are suspected to have trespassed into and out of the Finnish territory across the border, reported the local media.

According to the North Karelia Border Guard, the illegal border-crossing happened on Saturday at noon.

The trespassers are suspected to have entered about 20 metres into Finland.

The North Karelia Border Guard is investigating the incident as a border offence. This is the second case of border-crossing in the area controlled by the North Karelia Border Guard this year.
