Finland ranks world’s 56th military power

Finland has been ranked the 56th most powerful military power in the world, according to the Global Fire Power Index 2017.
The index includes a total of 133 powerful countries and the ranking relies on more than 50 factors to determine a given nation’s power index score.
The USA takes the top place on the list followed by Russia and China.
The number of total military personnel of Finland is 262,050, including 29,350 active and 232,700 reserve personnel.
The Nordic country also has been ranked 17th among the most powerful military power in Europe, where France topped on the list followed by UK, Germany, and Italy.
Among the Scandinavian countries, Finland has secured the fourth position, where Sweden has obtained the top position followed by Norway and Denmark.
