Finnish police has uncovered an unusually large drug smuggling operation, local media reported on Wednesday.

There are 37 suspects in the alleged crimes, 14 of whom are in Holland. The sales were planned to target the city of Tampere, central Finland and its surrounding area.

The police determined the value of the confiscated drugs at 2.8 million euros, if they had reached the street in Tampere.

The police initially confiscated 20 kilograms of amphetamine in the Vuosaari harbor in Helsinki last September. Investigators later found out 30 kilograms had been brought to Finland earlier. Part of it was located.

The police published pictures of the places the drugs were hidden, such as behind the roof of a toilet in a shopping mall.

The suspects had also brought to Finland cocaine and extacy tablets, media reports said.
