1 killed in Enontekiö road mishap

A local resident was killed in a car accident in Enontekiö on Saturday, said the police.
According to the local media, the accident between the personal car and a bus took place along Hetantie. One other person was injured in the accident.
Detective Inspector Kirsi Huhtamäki from the Lapland police department said the injuries sustained by the bus driver were not serious.
The bus driver was taken to the Lapland Central Hospital for treatment.
The bus was not carrying any passenger at the time of the accident.
The speed limit at the scene of the accident is 80 kilometres per hour.
According to Huhtamäki, the accident happened at a fairly straight stretch.
The more accurate course of event leading to the accident will become clear in the next few days, according to Huhtamäki.
