Defence Forces to join in Ample Strike in Czech

The Defence Forces will take part in the international exercise Ample Strike 2018 in the Czech Republic from August 31 to September 15, said an official press release.

Hosted annually by the Czech Republic, Ample Strike 2018 is a NATO exercise focusing on air-to-ground capabilities.

Finland will participate in the exercise with a training unit composed of salaried personnel from the Army and the Navy.

For Finland, the objective of the exercise is to get better at operating in a multinational operating environment and to enhance the competence of personnel trained for joint terminal attack controller duties in varying situational frameworks.

Participating in Ample Strike 2018 is part of the international activities in accordance with the Defence Forces’ annual plan. This is the third time Finland participates in the exercise.
