NATO Maritime Group visits Turku on Sep 7-10

Standing Nato Maritime Group 1 (SNMG1) will make an unofficial visit to Turku beginning on Friday.
The SNMG1 ships will remain open to visitors on Saturday, said an official press release.
The visiting group consists of two ships, of which the flagship is the Danish multipurpose vessel HDMS Esbern Snare (L17). The second vessel is the Portuguese frigate NRP Corte-Real (F332). SNMG1 is commanded by Commodore Carsten Fjord-Larsen.
The visit will be hosted by Coastal Fleet Commander Captain (N) Erkki Mikkola.
Both the ships will welcome visitors on September 8 Saturday between 10:00am and 12:00 noon. They will be berthed alongside the River Aura near the Maritime Centre Forum Marinum. SNMG1 will leave Turku on September 10.
