Sanoma Media Oy has terminated the early morning delivery agreement with national postal and logistic services operator, Posti at some places effective from mid next year.

The termination concerns Lohja, Kirkkonummi, Siuntio and Virkkala areas, said a press release issued by Posti on Thursday.

Posti will continue early-morning delivery as usual until June18, 2019, concerning a Finnish language newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, published by Sanoma Media.

The change will not affect Posti early-morning delivery in other parts of the country or basic delivery or other services in the areas above.

Due to Sanoma Media Oy’s decision to terminate the agreement, Posti will start co-operation negotiations on October 22 regarding Lohja, Kirkkonummi, Siuntio, Virkkala, Raasepori and Hanko early morning delivery areas and personnel, altogether 93 persons.

With this current view Posti will consider to adjust current service level. A precise need for dismissals will be determined during the co-operation negotiations, the Posti press release added.
