Mother held for attempted children murder

A mother is suspected of attempted murder of her three children by an arson took place in last month at Tammela, near Forssa.

Police arrested the lady and placed her on remand for further interrogation in this regard, local media reported quoting Kanta-Häme police.

The accused set fire at her detached house where she lived with family consists of husband and three children. The husband was at work at that time.

All the children, however, managed to escape but two pet dogs were burnt to death.

According to Finnish language tabloid Iltalehti, two of the children escaped by jumping through a balcony while another came out through window.

The elder child was a teenager while the younger two were about 10 years old each, said the Iltalehti report.

The incident of fire took place on February 20 and police arrested the woman after the incident.
