14 killed in road mishaps in November

At least 14 people were killed and 415 other injured in a total of 346 road accidents all over the country in November, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of persons killed was five less and of persons injured 74 lower than in November 2017 year on year.
Of the killed, eight were travelling by private cars, two by vans. As pedestrian, too, was rammed into by a vehicle during the mishaps. Among those who died, 10 were men and four were women.
A total of 200 people were killed and 4,897 other injured in 3,966 road traffic accidents involving personal injuries in January to November this year.
The number of persons killed was the same and that of persons injured was 220 lower than in the corresponding period of 2017.
Of the persons who were killed, 126 travelled by passenger cars, six by van, three by moped, 24 by motorcycles, one by a lorry and four by buses. The casualties of pedestrians killed in the accidents numbered 18 and of cyclists 13. In addition, five other road users were also killed.
