Niinistö, First Lady to witness Vienna New Year’s Concert

President Sauli Niinistö and First Lady Jenni Haukio will visit Austria on Tuesday, said a press release issued by the President Office on Thursday.

Invited by President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen and First Lady Doris Schmidauer, the presidential couple will attend the traditional Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert at the Musikverein concert hall in Vienna.

During the visit, both the Presidents will also discuss current bilateral and international issues.

The presidents last met at the European presidents’ meeting of the Arraiolos Group in Latvia in September. Niinistö and Haukio previously visited Austria in 2016.
