3 killed in Oulu road mishap

Three people according to the police were killed in a road accident involving a passenger car and a lorry along a motorway north of Oulu on Saturday, reported national broadcaster Yle.

Earlier the police had reported that only two people had been killed in the accident.The third victim,was,however found when the badly damaged car involved in the accident was completely dismantled.

Two passengers riding in the front seat were found dead on the spot.According to the police initial assessment,the third victim was killed instantly following the impact of the crush.

The victims were identified as a man and a woman born in the 1980s as well as a school-age child.The victims were also identified as Russian citizens.

According to the police,the victims had only been tentatively identified,and the incident reported to the Russian authorities.

The accident occurred in between Haukiväylä and Kiiminkijoki Bridge.
