Finland condoles at accidents victims in Denmark, Russia

Finland on Wednesday expressed shock at the death of people in two separate accidents in Denmark and Russia.

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä expressed his condolences on behalf of the government to his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen following the train accident that took place on the Great Belt bridge in Denmark, said a government press release.

Sipilä expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and to all who are touched by the accident.

Six people were killed and 16 others injured in a train accident over a bridge linking two of Denmark's main islands on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Timo Soini expressed condolence at the death of number of people when partially collapsed a 10-story residential building after a gas explosion in the industrial city of Magnitogorsk, Russia on December 31.

“Very saddened by the news of the gas explosion in #Magnitogorsk, Russia and its rising number of victims. My deepest condolences to all those affected and their families,” said Soini in a twitter post on Wednesday.

So far 31 people, including four children, were confirmed dead in a household gas explosion in Russia on Monday, the country's emergency ministry said Wednesday.
