Kittilä police urge to return dead eagle

The police have requested that the person who carried a dead eagle found by a skier in Kittilä on Saturday to return the carcass.
Police said that the dead eagle was found by a skier on Saturday afternoon and informed the police in this regard.
The carcass was, however, was removed from the scene before the arrival of the police.
The police are searching for the identity of a person seen riding a snowmobile at the scene.
The police said the dead eagle should be delivered at the Kittilä police for further investigation.
According to the police, picking a dead animal is a nature protection crime and infringement can lead to imposition of a penalty.
