Oulu child sex offender gets 44 months imprisonment

The District Court of Oulu on Wednesday sentenced a man for aggravated child sexual abuse and aggravated rape, reported Finnish language daily Kaleva.

The 1975-born Muso Asoev was handed a 3 year 8 months prison sentence for sexual abuse and rape offences committed against a 10-year old girl which took place in Oulu last year.

The court in its verdict said that Asoev took advantage of the girl's fear, her helpless situation since she was unable to defend herself and the fact that the girl was unable to form or express her will.

The convict was also fined 10,500 euros for pain and suffering inflicted on the victim.

Asoev was arrested on October 24, and has been in jail since his arrest.

Asoev conviction is one of series of suspected child sexual abuse under investigation in Oulu which happened last year in Oulu.
