20-year old remanded on rape suspicion in Oulu

A 20-year old man was remanded in custody in Wednesday in Oulu on suspicion of aggravated rape.

The victim was a 17-year old girl at the time the suspected crime took place, said a police bulletin.

National broadcaster Yle cited Finnish language tabloid Ilta-Sanomat, which reported that suspected offence took place two years ago.

The offence is a suspected to have taken place at a private residence in Oulu.

The pre-trial investigation is still on-going.
